Achievements and Plans for the Future

Whenever we cross the border from a year to another we are full of hopes.
It is human nature to hope for a better future, for accomplishments, for happiness.
For me 2004 was a year of great achievements.
I was awarded the certificate European Label 2003 for the project "Multimedia Summer- English Through Multimedia"in February.
The jury had been made of representatives of embassies representing 8 countries.
The ceremony was held at the Information Center of the European Comission in Bucharest, having been organized by the Romanian Socrates Agency, in the presence of Jonathan Scheele, Head of the E.C. in Romania, Alexandru Athanasiu, the former minsitry of education, representatives of the Socrates Agency, of the Ministry of Education, members of the international jury, representatives of the 8 winning teams from all over Romania . You can find more information about this event on the sites www.infoeuropa.ro or www.socrates.ro if you look for European Label.
It was a memorable event for me.Two months before I had been awarded the Certificate of Excellence having been elected out of over 600 people from Romania by the educational magazine "Universul Scolii".
How nervous I was before giving the 3 minutes speech!
Luckily I had been surrounded by friends. Doina Giurgea from Bucharest, Delia Pop and Laurentiu Pop from Baia Mare, Alexandru Cepan and two students from Frumoasa Teleorman, Andrei Cosac from Targoviste and a student from Iasi. All of them had come to be with me , all of them having attended the Multimedia Summer 2003 .They encouraged me a lot with their presence and strong support.
During the speech I succeeded to point out the international impact of this event and the plan for organizing an international conference during the 5th edition of the Multimedia Summer.
I kept my promise and the event took place in July. It was a great success!
I do not know if there will be a sixth edition this year.
Another achievement was the two Grundtvig 2 projects I had coordinated for two years.
In May we organized an International Conference on Adult Education with the participation of our partners from France, Italy and Lithuania. You can read about it if you visit the site of Info Project, the company I set up in February 2004.( www.infoproject.nvn.ro)
For the coming year I hope to sign the agreement for a Grundtvig 1 project. The product will be an online course of English for people working in the field of ICT.
There are other European projects on the role.
I have also signed an agreement with the International Education Center from Budapest and Info Project has became an Authorized TOEIC Center .
I hope the year 2005 will offer me great satisfactions.
I will go back to school and in parallel I will continue my projects. I am looking forward to meeting the students. I am a teacher and I do love my profession.
I also hope my two daughters will be successful in their career as barristers, and my husband will be healthy enough and able to support his three "girls".
I must also mention the fact that in December 2004 I became a blogger.
I am still learning how to:):):)
